Long-standing Oklahoma tech-based program ends
Oklahoma established its “Economic Development Generating Excellence” fund in 2006 with the earnings used to help research-based start-up companies cross the bridge to commercial viability. Seventeen companies received grants in the last five years. The program was a casualty of tough economic times.
