Campbell County reception for entrepreneurs planned for September 13

The Campbell County Small Business Incubator, Campbell County Mayor William Baird, and Tech 20/20 are hosting a business networking event from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, September 13 at the Cove Lake Indoor Pavilion, 110 Cove Lake Lane, Caryville.

There is no registration fee, but those planning to attend are asked to call 865/220-1707.

Mayor Baird announced in February the awarding of a $215,000 grant from the Appalachian Regional Commission to fund the incubator and programs associated with it. One of those initiatives was consulting services for entrepreneurs. The county contracted with Oak Ridge-based Tech 20/20 and its Center for Entrepreneurial Growth (CEG) for this service. CEG subsequently hired Campbell County native John Branam to serve as the organization’s point person in the county.
