Bellhops raises $31.4 million Series C, probably largest single round ever for a Chattanooga start-up
In what is described as probably the most amount that a Chattanooga start-up has ever raised in a single round, Bellhops announced this week that its Series C, led by Advance Venture Partners, brought in $31.4 million.
The company, originally named Dorm Movers, was co-founded by Knoxville native Cameron Doody in 2011 while he was a student at Auburn University. We spotlighted the company’s evolution in this two-part series (Part 1 and Part 2) that published a little more than a year ago.
Bellhops is now in 31 markets and, with the new funding, will grow further, including opening a new office in Atlanta.
