Next year’s CodeStock conference will be held in May
CodeStock is moving – time of year, not location.
Andrew May told us last week that Knoxville’s annual technology and information exchange conference will be held May 5 and 6, 2017. That’s more than two months earlier than this year’s event, but it’s for a very good reason.
May says there are a number of conferences that software developers can attend over the summer. With all of them packed into a a few months, it becomes a travel and scheduling challenge. By holding CodeStock earlier in the year, it should help attendance, which has grown to about a 1,000 people in just a few years. In addition, it will also allow those who want to attend multiple conferences to do so much easier.
A new feature offered at this year’s conference was such a success that it will be expanded to allow more attendees in 2017. We’re referring to the CodeStock Academy for high school students.
