YEA! application deadline approaching with a few spots remaining

YEAThe second cohort for the Knoxville Chamber’s Young Entrepreneurs Academy (YEA!) is just about full. As of yesterday afternoon, five spots remained for the 30-week program that teaches middle and high school students how to start and run their own businesses.

YEA! classes will meet October through April at the University of Tennessee’s Haslam College of Business. Students will brainstorm business ideas, write a business plan, pitch their idea to a panel of local investors, participate in a trade show, and actually launch their business or social movement.

The deadline for applications is September 23. For more information and an application, click here. You can also read our teknovation.biz posts about the inaugural program by entering “YEA!” in the search feature of our main webpage.
