WindTL is a new start-up focused on helping first responders with wildfires
WindTL, short for wind intellect, is a new start-up that is developing a tool that could have benefitted first responders during this month’s Pigeon Forge fires and the more devastating 2016 Gatlinburg fire.
As described in this recent article that appeared in Hypepotamus, WindTL was born when the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of a Tampa-based company turned to Georgia Tech’s “Female Founders Program” to expand her current business and further explore fluid dynamics in the atmosphere. There she met, virtually at first, a Postdoctoral Fellow with a focus on fluid dynamics.
Together, they have founded WindTL to bring some predictability to the study of wildfires.
