Wilmington, NC ranks at the top of start-up ecosystems for cities under 300,000
We recently published this article about StartupBlink and its just released annual rankings of the entrepreneurial ecosystems in 1,000 cities across the world. That article focused mostly on the rankings of Tennessee’s metro areas.
We did not highlight one of what could be considered a fast-rising start-up community. It is Wilmington, NC that captured the #2 spot among all cities, worldwide, with populations between 100,000 and 300,000 and, by default, #1 in the U.S.
WRAL TechWire spotlighted some of the reasons for the Port City’s emergence as an entrepreneurial hotspot in this recent article.
