Weeklong AFWERX session for small businesses scheduled for next month

We recently noted in this article that four participants in the “Innovation Crossroads” program at Oak Ridge National Laboratory had been awarded contracts from the U.S. Air Force. The contracts were through the Air Force’s AFWERX program that is focused on expanding technology, talent, and transition partnerships for “rapid and affordable commercial and military capability.”

Next month, Tech Warrior Enterprise, an AFWERX Small Business Innovation Research and Small Business Technology Transfer program, will host a free virtual “Tech Warrior Medical Ops” event. Set for July 19 through 23, the two-part event includes:

  • Private pitches where small business owners will be able to showcase their innovations to Air Force warfighters, government tech scouts, and industry subject matter experts to gain early, real-time feedback; and
  • Public, non-proprietary pitches that will help secure commercial investors and joint venture opportunities.

Registration close at 12 a.m. June 26. More details can be found here.
