WearKnox gives UTK marketing students real world experience
Many Knoxvillians know Alex Abell, Co-Founder of Lunchpool. Fewer may know Annika Abell, an Assistant Professor of Marketing at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville’s (UTK) Haslam College of Business. Ironically, it was her new job at UTK that brought the former residents of Florida to Tennessee.
Now, Annika is showing her own entrepreneurial initiative with a new start-up that is also providing hands-on learning experience for marketing students. The new venture, named WearKnox, is a student-run eCommerce store that specializes in Knoxville-centric apparel, accessories and home goods.
