“Vol Court” hosting pitch competition tomorrow
Interested in seeing the latest start-up ideas coming from University of Tennessee (UT) students? If so, you have your chance tomorrow night (October 28) with the pitch competition that concludes the “Fall Vol Court Speaker Series.”
Tom Graves, Operations Director for the coordinating Anderson Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation, says at least five individuals are expected to compete in the finals that run from 5:15 to 6:30 p.m. in Room G2 of the Stokely Management Center.
For the previous five weeks, students have attended one-hour sessions covering topics such as the nature of an entrepreneur, creating a business and the importance of the business model, financing/funding, legal structure, and the elements of the “pitch.”
“Vol Court” is sponsored by the UT Federal Credit Union, UT Research Foundation, Morehous Legal Group, Launch Tennessee, and Pershing Yoakley & Associates, the power behind teknovation.biz.
