Virtual workshop set for this week on ARISE program
This initiative from the Appalachian Regional Commission funds multi-state collaborations.
The Appalachian Region Commission (ARC) is hosting a virtual workshop this week for organizations interested in applying for one of its ARISE (Appalachian Regional Initiative for Stronger Economies) grants. It is scheduled for 10 a.m. EDT on June 22. To register, click here.
Funded under the “Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA) of 2021,” the program supports multi-state collaborations to advance those communities and regions. There are two types of grants that are being supported:
- Planning grants for which eligible applicants can apply for a maximum of $500,000 with $10,000,000 allocated in FY23; and
- Implementation grants which are generally capped at $10 million although ARC reserves the right to award grants in larger amounts on a case-by-case basis when substantially compelling circumstances are present and funds are available. Up to $63,500,000 is available in FY23.
There are four rounds with the next application deadline being October 31.
