Vanderbilt’s Data Science Institute launches “AI Fridays”
Vanderbilt University’s Data Science Institute has launched a new initiative called “AI Fridays.”
As described in this post, the program is focused on helping individuals who: (1) have data they would like to use, but aren’t quite sure how to make the most of it; (2) are running into issues with their models, data, or analytical approach and spinning their wheels about what to do; or (3) simply looking for new partnerships with other people using or interested in data science.
The multi-part five-hour session is divided into various components: (1) open office hours from 10 a.m. to 12 noon; (2) “AI Whiteboard” from 12 noon to 1 p.m.; (3) “AI Deep Dive” from 1 to 2 p.m.; and (4) demos from 2 to 3 p.m. Attendance is limited to faculty, staff, postdoctoral researchers, graduate students, undergraduate students, or affiliates of Vanderbilt University.
