UT System spotlights research efforts across five campuses and two institutes
It's the theme of the latest issue of Our Tennessee.
The latest edition of Our Tennessee, the magazine of the University of Tennessee (UT) System, is all about research across its five campuses and two institutes.
In an introduction to the periodic publication, UT President Randy Boyd writes that “faculty and students are engaged in groundbreaking work that addresses critical issues in healthcare, technology, energy, and more. As you explore this edition of Our Tennessee, you’ll find that our research is not just about making discoveries; it’s about applying knowledge to create a better future for everyone.”
Early in the edition, there’s a list celebrating 90 years of innovation through the UT Research Foundation (UTRF), starting with the issuance of the first utility patent for a device that measured the relative humidity of gas in 1939. The last milestone was earlier this year when Orion Therapeutics received the inaugural investment from UTRF’s Accelerate Fund.
