UT rebrands Cherokee Farm, introduces new logo for research park
The Cherokee Farm Innovation Campus on Alcoa Highway has a new name and logo. It is now known at the University of Tennessee Research Park at Cherokee Farm.
“Our new name emphasizes the cutting-edge and diverse research that occurs here,” said Cliff Hawks, President and Chief Executive Officer of Cherokee Farm Development Corporation. “It also maintains a connection to our roots as Cherokee Farm, though our present and future reach goes far beyond just agriculture.”
The park currently houses two buildings. One is the Joint Institute for Advanced Materials, a $56-million, 140,000-square-foot facility that offers unparalleled advanced research capabilities including polymer labs and advanced microscopy. The second building, known as Innovation North, houses Arkis BioSciences, AUBO Robotics USA, Civil & Environmental Consultants, and University Health System’s Divisions for Internet Technologies and Heart Lung Vascular Data Research and Management.
Here’s last week’s announcement (UT Research Park Name Change).
