UT at Chattanooga hosting second annual Chattanooga Connect conference
The event is scheduled for October 6-8.
The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga Research Institute (UTCRI) has announced the full lineup of interactive workshops and hands-on demonstration projects that will be included in the second annual Chattanooga Connect conference scheduled for October 6-8. These unique learning sessions will provide attendees with a look at UTCRI’s recent developments in smart city technology, with a special emphasis on connected infrastructure and autonomous systems.
The workshops and demos will be hosted at various locations throughout downtown Chattanooga, including the Edney Innovation Center and along the MLK Boulevard “Smart Corridor.” Participants will have the opportunity to engage directly with UTCRI staff and other experts while observing this cutting-edge technology in action.

“We are focused on creating the future urban mobility, which means that all of our most exciting research takes place outside of classrooms and labs,” says Dr. Mina Sartipi, Director of the UTCRI. “These workshops and demo sessions are another way that Chattanooga Connect invites researchers, industry leaders, and policymakers to see for themselves what kind of technology we are building here and how it’s already shaping the future of our cities. We’re putting our research to work on the streets of Chattanooga every day, and we’re thrilled to share our progress with the world at this year’s conference.”
