Four university-connected start-ups capture $15,000 each as “36|86 Conference” opens
Launch Tennessee’s “36|86 Conference” held its preliminary event Sunday afternoon where teams from 13 universities competed in the “36|86: Student Edition Pitch Competition.”
The teams competed in four different categories for $15,000 each. The winners, by category, were:
- Consumer – Gigamunch, a Tennessee Tech University start-up that we posted this update about just last week;
- Social Enterprise – LEAF from Vanderbilt University;
- Commercialized Technology – Path Ex, also from Vanderbilt; and
- Technology-Enabled – With the Band from Belmont University.
