36-86 v2

Launch Tennessee’s “36|86 Conference” held its preliminary event Sunday afternoon where teams from 13 universities competed in the “36|86: Student Edition Pitch Competition.”

The teams competed in four different categories for $15,000 each. The winners, by category, were:

  • Consumer – Gigamunch, a Tennessee Tech University start-up that we posted this update about just last week;
  • Social Enterprise – LEAF from Vanderbilt University;
  • Commercialized Technology – Path Ex, also from Vanderbilt; and
  • Technology-Enabled – With the Band from Belmont University.

Pictures of the winners at their ceremonial check presentations appear below.

We’ll be in Nashville for the next two days and will have content from the event for those who are unable to attend.
