UC System bets BIG on accelerating its inventions
The University of California (UC) System is betting BIG on commercializing intellectual property from its 10 campuses and five medical centers as well as the three national laboratories that it manages. At a meeting last week, the UC Board of Regents approved the creation of UC Ventures, a $250 million venture capital fund seeded with monies from the institution’s endowment. Read more here.
