
UA offering entrepreneurial training ahead of new state legislation affecting student athletes
You’ve no doubt read about the movement in Tennessee and other states to let student athletes capitalize on their name, image and likeness.
At the University of Arkansas, there’s a new program just announced to provide athletes with entrepreneurially-focused training. It is called Flagship and will run over five weeks in collaboration with several organizations including the Office of Entrepreneurship and Innovation. Topics include: (1) entrepreneurship basics; (2) influencer marketing and personal branding; (3) business fundamentals; and (4) storytelling and the art of the pitch.
