Two SC Launch portfolio companies focused on COVID-19 pandemic
SCRA, officially known as the South Carolina Research Authority, was established in 1983 to promote job creation in South Carolina’s innovation economy.
The organization recently announced ans investment in one new company and spotlighted the work of a second, both focused on the COVID-19 pandemic.
- Through the SC Launch program, SCRA is investing $250,000 in Precision Genetics, a life sciences company located in Greenville, to help expand processing of its COVID-19 test kits. Read more here.
- ZVerse, based in Columbia and an SC Launch portfolio company, overhauled its business model to become one of the largest producers of reusable face shields in the U.S. and expects that it will have produced 20 million shields by July. Read more here.
