Two Midwest venture showcases combine for single virtual event next week
In these challenging times, two Midwest showcases have combined efforts. InvestMidwest, an annual Missouri event for companies raising venture capital, is converting to an virtual format this year in combination with the Midwest Growth Capital Symposium. The former was scheduled for later in April in St. Louis, while the latter was set for mid-May in Ypsilanti.
The new date splits the difference, so to speak. It will be May 5 and feature companies in the health care, technology, agriculture and energy sectors. According to this news article, 61 companies from 15 states – none from Tennessee – are seeking funding with 28 of them at the seed stage and the balance at either Series A or B.
