TTU among 32 universities receiving funding for Industrial Assessment Center
Tennessee Technological University in Cookeville is one of 32 higher education institutions located in 28 states across the country to share $60 million in funding to set-up and operate regional Industrial Assessment Centers (IAC).
The funding was announced earlier this week by the Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy in the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE). The IACs will provide site-specific recommendations to small manufacturers with opportunities to improve productivity, secure information, reduce waste and save energy while providing training for undergraduate and graduate engineering students in manufacturing processes, energy assessment procedures, and energy management systems.
