TREEDC holding geothermal workshop on November 30

The Tennessee Renewable Energy and Economic Development Council (TREEDC) will hold another free workshop, this time focused on geothermal energy, on November 30 in Nashville.

The event will run from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the University of Tennessee Center for Industrial Services offices, 193 Polk Avenue. Registration is free and includes lunch, but space is limited to 50 individuals. Those interested in attending can register at http://www.treedc.us/forumregistrations/index.html.

Speakers and their topics for the “Geothermal 101 Workshop” include:

  • Overview of Geothermal – Bill Stalker, Trinity Contractors;
  • Environmental and Health Impacts of Geothermal – Steve Drevik, Agilaire, LLC;
  • Best Practices Panel – Speakers from Mid-South Construction (Bledsoe County Prison installation) and Energy Services Engineering Group (Wilson County School System project; and
  • Creative Financing Strategies in Geothermal – Bill Owen, TREEDC Consultant
