TREEDC to focus on colleges at April meeting in Madisonville
The Tennessee Renewable Energy and Economic Development Council (TREEDC) will hold its 3rd annual forum with area community leaders and faculty, staff and students of Hiwassee College on April 4 in Madisonville.
The agenda (TREEDC-2014Hiwassee+College) for the event shows a clear focus on colleges – from best practices in sustainability to career opportunities and an update on TREEDC’s International Exchange Program. After the morning presentations that begin at 9 a.m., attendees will hear a luncheon address by Max Shilstone, Director of Business Development for Clean Line Energy Partners. His presentation will describe the Plains & Eastern Clean Line Project, which will connect Tennessee to superb wind resources in Oklahoma through a high voltage direct current (HVDC) transmission line.
There is no charge for the forum, which includes a continental breakfast and lunch, but pre-registration is required by April 1. To do so, click here. TREEDC says seating is limited to 100 attendees.
