TrakLok International makes FL100+ listing

TrakLok IntlGood news ahead of the holiday season for Knoxville-based TrakLok International LLC. The company has been recognized by Food Logistics on the magazine’s FL100+ for 2015.

The annual listing is a compilation of software and technology companies that specialize in the unique challenges of the food and beverage industry supply chain. In the case of TrakLok, the inclusion is recognition of the value of its branded suite of products.

“Whether you need to maintain an FDA (U.S. Food and Drug Administration) compliant system or you manage commercial assets, the TrakLogTM web portal gives you complete control over cargo access, including location, integrity and exception information in real time,” Tom Mann, TrakLok’s Chief Executive Officer, said. “We are proud to be honored by Food Logistics for the FL100+.”

The company’s TrakLok® cargo security system includes a hardened lock that withstands prying, cutting, or impact tools; an integrated alarm that sends alerts for unauthorized attempts to access cargo; and a GPS tracking system with a cloud-based web portal that allows access to real-time information on location and cargo integrity.

Everyone wants a safe supply of food, and that’s the goal of the FL100+ listing. The magazine notes that those included in the registry have products and services that ensure efficient transportation and warehousing, minimize food waste, facilitate safe operations, and assure regulatory compliance.

“Developments in the software and technology sector are generating new opportunities for growers, food manufacturers, grocery retailers and the many logistics providers that support them,” according to Lara L. Sowinski, Editor-in-Chief at Food Logistics. “Moreover, cloud-based solutions and mobile connectivity are helping create tools that are more flexible, affordable and responsive, making software and technology even more valuable to those in the global food supply chain.”
