Top ranking does not mean there are no challenges, such as IP
Forbes magazine has dubbed Austin “America’s No. 1 boomtown” in terms of entrepreneurship, technology and innovation. After all, isn’t this where Michael Dell started his empire as a student? And, isn’t Austin the city where South by Southwest, better known as SXSW, opens today?
Austin is also home to the “other UT” – the one with the burnt orange colors – where there’s a debate about what needs to happen in enhance student entrepreneurship. It even involves ownership of intellectual property.
