Tom Drye. Managing Director for Techmer Lehvoss Compounds, LLC (TLC) will be the featured speaker at the monthly meeting of the “Advanced Materials Cluster” at 8 a.m. this Thursday.

The sessions are sponsored by Roane State Community College’s Advanced Composites Accelerator program and hosted by the East Tennessee Economic Council at its offices, 1201 Oak Ridge Turnpike, in Oak Ridge.

There is no registration fee for the meeting that lasts no more than 60 minutes, and pre-registration is not required.

TLC is a joint venture company between Techmer PM and Lehmann & Voss & Company, or Lehvoss. TLC’s goal is to provide custom engineering compounds to a variety of industries and uses.

The company is focused on providing custom solutions to engineering problems encountered by product and part designers in a variety of industries, including business machines, automotive, high tech data storage and sporting goods.

TLC acquired the specialty compounds business from DSM Engineered Plastics in October 2004. These products include Plaslube® internally lubricated compounds, Electrafil® electrically conductive or static dissapative compounds, and a variety of other performance enhanced specialty compounds.
