Operating under the theme of "Resilience in a Tough Market," the event is expected to draw more than 250 attendees from beyond the region to hear from top-tier speakers and investors on how they have approached challenging economies in the past and how they are gearing up for the future.

Entrepreneurs, investors, and ecosystem builders will be converging in Johnson City on October 25, 26, and 27 for the Startup Mountain Summit, which is being billed as the premier conference for early-stage start-ups in the Southeast.

Operating under the theme of “Resilience in a Tough Market,” the event is expected to draw more than 250 attendees from beyond the region to hear from top-tier speakers and investors on how they have approached challenging economies in the past and how they are gearing up for the future. The summit presenters come from a variety of backgrounds and experiences, ranging from successful entrepreneurs to those currently growing vibrant start-ups.

One of the event’s headliners, Rob Walling, is a serial entrepreneur, published author of multiple books on start-ups, host of the “Startups for the Rest of Us Podcast,” founder of MicroConf, and the original founder of Drip Marketing Automation. He sold Drip in 2016 and went on to launch TinySeed, a unique way to approach venture capital, and continues to inspire startups across the world through his podcasts and events. Two more speakers call Johnson City home. Rodolphe Pierre-Louis, Chief Executive Officer of ActionVFX, and Luke Thompson, Chief Operating Officer of ActionVFX, will be giving separate talks about growing businesses and ways to automate operational tasks. ActionVFX is one of the leading special effects stock footage companies in the world.

And a just announced addition to the line-up is Greg Digneo, Founder of Outreach Guppy. He is described as a true business guru who will be sharing his expertise on premium link-building services for B2B and SaaS companies.  The “Startup Mountain Summit” is a half entrepreneurship conference and half mountain retreat for entrepreneurs. Nestled in the heart of the Appalachian Mountains, Johnson City provides a unique setting with access to the outdoors, interesting networking opportunities, and great local food and drink options. “This event is possible because of the incredible growth our region has seen in entrepreneurial community development”, says David Nelson, Director of FoundersForge. “By focusing on helping local entrepreneurs turn their ideas into successful startups and bringing the whole startup community together we have seen a network of support develop here.”Tickets for the Summit are available now and can be purchased here.
