Tennessee B Corps holding workshop this Thursday
B Tennessee, an initiative launched by Tennessee B Corps and non-profit partners to promote corporate social responsibility (CSR) throughout the state, is holding its inaugural event this week.
Scheduled from 4 to 6 p.m. EDT Thursday, the workshop will feature panelists from across Tennessee who will share innovative models, programs, and best-practices in CSR. The topics and panelists are:
- What role can the faith community plan in addressing and influencing corporate social responsibility? (Jonathan Ingraham, Chattanooga Faith + Works);
- What does corporate social responsibility and becoming B look like in the life sciences? (Bob Bean, Transnetyx in Memphis);
- How can a specific sustainability initiative grow to positively influence culture company-wide? (Farrell Calabrese, Eastman Chemical Company in Kingsport); and
- How can B Corps and CSR flourish in conservative communities? (Vincent Stanley of Patagonia)
The panel will be moderated by Emily Medley of B Academics and Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Tennessee.
