Techstars names new Managing Director for its Atlanta collaboration with Cox Enterprises

Techstars has announced a new Managing Director for its “Techstars Atlanta in Partnership with Cox Enterprises” program, and the individual brings serious creds to the table.

Tim Dorr wrote in this recent post that he has been a founder since I moving to Atlanta in 2001 to attend Georgia Institute of Technology. He launched his first start-up, a website hosting company called A Small Orange, during his junior year. After growing it to 25,000 customers entirely by word of mouth, he sold it in 2010.

Then as an Entrepreneur-in-Residence at Georgia Tech’s Advanced Technology Development Center, he met Kyle Porter who “was looking to reboot his sales technology start-up, so I, along with Rob Forman, joined him as Co-Founders. That company was Salesloft, which is now one of Atlanta’s major success stories.”

Techstars Atlanta has invested in 60 companies, which have raised more than $180 million in capital. Applications for the next cohort open July 18.
