Techstars’ CEO says 2023 will be trickiest year since dot-com bubble
Maëlle Gavet shared insights in an interview with Bloomberg News.
Maëlle Gavet, Chief Executive Officer of Techstars, was interviewed on Bloomberg Technology where she discussed the future of start-ups in 2023, a new age of Initial Public Offerings, and the Techstars value proposition.
“I think 2023 will be one of the trickiest years on record since the dot.com bubble,” she said. Yet, Gavet was also optimistic about some of the prospects. She believes that:
- Early stage will defy the gloom;
- Layoffs will spark a wave of innovation; and
- The venture capital industry will consolidate.
