Startup Southerner, HHH’s “Anything Is Possible” spotlight Ed Pershing and PYA

PYAPYA, the power behind, and the role of its Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer is chronicled in two recent media postings. Both talk about our favorite subject – entrepreneurship.

  • First, there’s a column, written by Ed Pershing, that appeared on Friday on Startup Southerner’s site. It’s focused on the nearly 33-year history of PYA and the commitment the firm continues to make to helping its home community. If you don’t regularly view Startup Southerner, you’re missing some great information.
  • Second, Ed was the featured guest on the latest segment of Hallerin Hilton Hill’s television show – “Anything Is Possible” – that aired Sunday. Part 1 of the two-session interview is available here. The second episode airs next Sunday at 11 a.m. on WBIR-TV.

Granted, I’m biased, but the entrepreneurial journey that Ed has pursued and the overall PYA story are a wonderful set-up for Knoxville’s week-long celebration of entrepreneurship (“Innov865 Week”) that starts next Monday. It’s pretty entrepreneurial to progress from three people in December of 1983 to rankings as a Top 20 national healthcare consulting practice and a Top 100 national accounting firm.
