The Chief Product Officer at a fast-growing, North Carolina-based start-up offers some sage advice for entrepreneurs about the competition.
“There’s a big difference between browsing knowledge in order to regurgitate it back out and absorbing knowledge in order to take action on what we’ve learned,” Joe Procopio of Spiffy writes in this article from WRAL TechWire titled “Keep Your Rivals Close: Why Start-ups Should Cozy Up to the Competition.”
He adds, “To truly understand our competition, we need to go beyond just visiting their website, following their Instagram feed, setting up a news alert, or keeping a spreadsheet of their known customers.”
