Serial entrepreneur Paul Cowell is scheduled to be one of the individuals conversing with Jose Castillo when Spark Plaza, the Johnson City-based co-working space, and Pershing Yoakley & Associates (PYA), join forces to host “Start-up Stories Knoxville” on July 30.

The event begins at 5:30 p.m. at Cherokee Mills, 2240 Sutherland Avenue (entrance is through the left side doors off the flagpole courtyard area of the building). It will be a combination reception, networking opportunity, and discussion with a handful of entrepreneurs who are at different stages of development.

Cowell, who is the Innkeeper at the Whitestone Inn, was Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Shop At Home, a TV home shopping network. He also founded and served as President and CEO of Book Warehouse, a 90-store discount book chain.

Others sharing their stories include Brian Strong, Co-Founder of Vendor Registry, and one of the entrepreneurs participating in this year’s “MediaWorks” accelerator run by the Knoxville Entrepreneur Center.
