Start-up Day rebrands as 865 Fest, an all-day celebration
Applications being accepted for two pitch competitions; deadline to apply is June 27.
There’s a new name and a new location for what, until this year, was known as Start-up Day in Knoxville.
Now known as 865 Fest, it is a full-day entrepreneurial conference hosting visionary keynotes, premier pitch competitions, thought-provoking panels, and much more to explore how big ideas move from concept to reality. Gather alongside Knoxville’s brightest founders, investors, executives, and business leaders for insights on transformative tech, bold business moves, and regional success stories.
Doors at Bridgewater Place, the new venue, will open at 8:30 a.m. EDT on September 16 for a networking breakfast and registration. Programming will begin at 9 a.m. EDT. Lunch will be provided.
At the conference, six Knoxville start-ups will pitch before a live audience and panel of judges in hopes of winning the Judges’ Choice Award and the Crowd Favorite Award, totaling $15,000 in cash prizes. Applications to be considered for that competition, as well as the second annual Emerging Entrepreneur Pitch Competition for college student entrepreneurs or graduates in the past year, are being accepted through 11:59 p.m. EDT on June 27 at this link.
Registration for the inaugural 865 Fest opens on June 17.
