Spring edition of the “Vol Court Speaker Series & Pitch Competition” kicks-off Wednesday

Session #1 of the Spring edition of the “Vol Court Speaker Series & Pitch Competition” kicks-off Wednesday evening in Room 102 of the Haslam Business Building at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.

Hosted by the Anderson Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation, the four topic-specific sessions precede the pitch competition that is set for March 2.  Participants who attend all speaker sessions will be eligible to pitch in the competition that offers $1,500 in prizes.

All sessions begin at 5:15 p.m. EST. Dates and topics are:

  • February 2 – “Ideas vs. Opportunities” featuring Lynn Youngs, ACEI Executive Director;
  • February 9 – “Auditor to Distiller – How’d THAT Happen?” featuring Kris Tatum, Distillery Manager at Old Forge Distillery in Pigeon Forge;
  • February 16 – “Start-up, Success, Repeat!” featuring Heath Wilson, Co-Founder of Aro; and
  • February 23 – “Making Pitches that Win Moola!” featuring Lia Winter, Co-Founder of Winter Innovations.
