“Soft Landings” panel featuring ETSU is today in Dallas

InBIAAs previously noted in this teknovation.biz article from last week, Audrey Depelteau, Director of the Innovation Lab at East Tennessee State University (ETSU), is a panelist at today’s InBIA conference in Dallas.

The session’s title is “Soft Landings 101: Bringing the Best Global Clients to Your Doorstep.” It begins at 9:30 a.m. Other panelists are Herman Nyamunga, Director of the Welcoming Center of Pennsylvania, and Lynne Henkiel, Director of Innovation Ecosystems at the Georgia Institute of Technology.

Session topics include the most effective services and programming, strategic community partnerships, and the best channels for gaining program visibility. The three panelists have been asked to provide a comprehensive view of how to start and manage an effective soft landings program. Some of the specific best practices covered will include strategic relationships, facilitating the visa process, creating robust networks to help companies grow into new markets, helping foreign entrepreneurs learn English, and providing effective mentoring and coaching.
