Small Business Summit starts July 9 in Knoxville

The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) and its National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) are hosting a “Regional Small Business Summit” July 9, 10 and 11 at the Knoxville Convention Center.

The three-day event has adopted the theme of “Empowering Small Businesses for the Future.” According to the marketing materials developed for the Summit, small businesses will have opportunities to market their capabilities to all of the DOE/NNSA Oak Ridge facilities – Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL), Y-12 National Security Complex (Y-12), UCOR, Oak Ridge Associated Universities (ORAU), and WSI.

Also participating in the Summit are companies like Deloitte, Pilot Corporation, Volkswagen, Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA), URS, Energy Solutions, Fluor, B&W Pantex and Jefferson Science Associates.
