Signees of “COVID-19 Technology Access Framework” now total 21 IP generators
At least two universities in the Southeastern Conference (SEC) have signed-on to participate in the “COVID-19 Technology Access Framework” initiative.
As we noted in this April 12 post on teknovation.biz, three well-known universities – Harvard, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and Stanford – developed and agreed to a set of principles that provide for non-exclusive, royalty-free licensing of intellectual property rights for most types of technologies during the pandemic and for a short period afterward.
Now, two SEC institutions – Arkansas and Mississippi State – have embraced the framework. The former is not included in the last listing we saw that showed 19 signees.
