SHRM, Techstars announce HR-focused partnership
The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), through its SHRMLabs, and the “Techstars’ Workforce Development Accelerator” are partnering on an initiative addressing the challenges of the modern dynamic labor market through innovative technologies including voice, artificial intelligence and blockchain.
According to this article, the collaboration includes:
- A “Workplace Innovation Zone” at SHRM21 and subsequent SHRM conferences in 2022 where, at least in 2021, the two organizations will showcase five finalists in the first ever “Better Workplaces Challenge Cup” as well as start-ups from the “Techstars’ Workforce Development Accelerator.”
- Publication in 2022 of a “State of Workplace Tech” report.
- Launch of a Workplace Tech Council and a Workplace Tech Summit 2022 that will bring together human resource (HR) executives from the SHRM membership, technology innovators, and executives from the Techstars network.
- Collaboration on a “Workplace Tech Learning” series that will be launches in 2022 in support of the development of tech savvy HR talent.
Recruitment is underway for the first cohort in the Knoxville-Oak Ridge-based “Techstars Industries of the Future Accelerator.”
