Shora Foundation activates its GoFundMe campaign for new facility
Knoxville’s Shora Foundation has kicked off its peer-to-peer crowdfunding campaign for The Roots Collective Growth and Development Center for small business entrepreneurs in Black communities.
As described in this September article in teknovation.biz, Tanika Harper, the driver behind the initiative, describes the Center as an in-between space that would serve those who need to graduate from their homes but are not yet ready to move into their own dedicated building or office suite. It will include a co-working space, training rooms, creative space, and childcare center for entrepreneurs in the East Knoxville community.
The goal is to raise $500,000 through this now active GoFundMe campaign.
