SCRA reports nearly $700 million impact on South Carolina innovation economy
Last October, we published a three-part series (Part 1, Part 2 and Part 3) on the South Carolina Research Authority (SCRA). Now, the economic development organization has released its latest annual report with some solid numbers.
SCRA reported playing a major role in boosting jobs and technology-related businesses in South Carolina with 2.9 percent growth of technology sector jobs growth, close to double that of general statewide employment gains, and an impact of $694.38 million on the overall innovation economy.
