RTI International slashing 20 percent of workforce
One of North Carolina’s premier research institutes is slashing its workforce by slightly more than 20 percent in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.
RTI International has notified the state of nearly 1,200 furloughs and another 50 layoffs. The non-profit has about 5,700 workers spread across NC, the U.S. and globally. The jobs impacted are field data collectors in RTI’s Data Collection Staff business staff segment.
