Robin Pate leaving IACMI to join Green Point Research as Chief Marketing Officer
Robin Pate, Chief Operating Officer for IACMI – The Composites Institute, told us in an email last week that she will be leaving the organization in May for a new position as Chief Marketing Officer for Green Point Research.
The Ft. Lauderdale-based biotech company has a focus on environmentally sustainable agriculture process and practice. “Premium genetics, industrial hemp, crude, and biomass are some of the company’s primary products, but expansion is expected in the needed agriculture business services area,” Pate said, adding that she will continue to reside in Knoxville.
She’ll be joining two other recent hires with strong ties to Tennessee. Matt Turner, Chief Science Officer, earned his graduate degree in chemical engineering from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and Will Wadlington, Director of Plant Science, grew-up in East Tennessee.
“It was difficult to think about leaving the advanced composites industry and team that have become like family, however, I am very enthusiastic about the new company and the future possibilities in the agriculture industry,” Pate said.
