Renew Venture Capital launches new $50 million impact fund

“It’s time to dismantle “growth vs. impact,’” the team behind Renew Venture Capital writes on its webpage. “Our founders want to build scaled businesses that remain committed to social impact. The more outsized and sustainable our portfolio companies become, the more outsized and lasting their impacts will be.”

While Renew has been around for several years, it’s $50 million impact fund is something new. The firm plans to write checks in the $250,000 to $3 million range for early stage, profitable start-ups that can scale. Renew has no geographical limits and has partners based in Atlanta, Cincinnati, Los Angeles, Louisville, Phoenix, Toronto, and Washington, DC.

More details can be found here about the fund being led by Mark Hubbard of Atlanta.
