Registration still open for this week’s “KTech PULSE Technology Summit”

It’s not too late to register for this week’s “KTech PULSE Technology Summit” hosted by the Knoxville Technology Council, and registration is free, whether you plan to attend in-person or virtually. The event is from 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday with limited in-person attendance at Jewelry TV (JTV).

Jenna Spooner of Litheos Marketing and Design shared with us the work-in-progress agenda, noting the presenters could change or others added. Here’s a summary as of late last week.

  • The “Technology Showcase” will feature (1) Chris Meystrik, JTV’s Chief Technology Officer; (2) Matt Kittrell, Director of Consulting Delivery at CGI; (3) Patrick Hunt, Chief Evangelist at Lirio; (4) someone from Clayton Homes who will present on a robotics project; and (5) representatives from TeamHealth and Covenant Health who will describe an emergency room triage project they developed together.
  • The “Innovation Spotlight” will feature Tiffany Cross and Chris Skinner, both Informatics Officers at Covenant, who will take a “deep dive” into Covenant’s Tele-ICU and other telehealth services, including the impact they’ve had on the region.
  • The “Tech Workforce” panel will include: (1) Kelly Jo Grosser, Corporate Recruiter at Avertium; (2) Stephanie Flood, Chief Information Officer at Clayton Homes; (3) Stephanie Rowan-Waller, Director of Human Resources at JTV; and (4) Christine Horwege, Director at Cyber Federal.
  • The “Tech Spotlight” session will be another “deep dive,” this time into the work of the High Performance Computing clusters group at Oak Ridge National Laboratory and how they managed workloads sent to the supercomputer for COVID-19 research. Elton Cranfill will lead the discussion.
