Ohio entrepreneur groups join to launch OhioXcelerate
This new initiative is aimed at providing entrepreneurs with mentorship and subject matter expertise in various aspects of business, including fundraising, sales, marketing, and customer discovery.
Cincy Inno reports that Queen City Angels (QCA) is joining with Alloy Growth Lab and OhioX to launch OhioXcelerate, an initiative aimed at providing entrepreneurs with mentorship and subject matter expertise in various aspects of business, including fundraising, sales, marketing, and customer discovery. QCA provides capital and mentorship to entrepreneurs, Alloy Lab is an incubator and start-up catalyst, and OhioX is a tech-focused nonprofit membership group.
OhioXcelerate’s first virtual event is set for June 21. It will feature introductions of mentors, followed by 10-minute pitches from three participants. Participants will then rotate between three breakout rooms, each focused on a different aspect of business and led by mentors with subject matter expertise. At the end of the event, mentors will fill out a scorecard and feedback form. The winner will receive a package of services valued at more than $6,000.
Applications for both mentors and participants are open until May 1.
Shift Thermal, formally known as Active Energy Systems when it became a member of the inaugural cohort of the “Innovation Crossroads” program, is one of QCA’s portfolio companies.
