Pick for U.S. Secretary of Commerce has VC roots

President-elect Joe Biden’s pick for Secretary of Commerce has venture capital roots. According to PitchBook News, Rhode Island Governor Gina Raimondo co-founded Point Judith Capital, now known as PJC. It invests mostly in East Coast-based companies across various industries and raised more than $80 million last year toward a target of $150 million for its fifth flagship fund.
