Personality Pool launches out of its Beta mode
The Kingsport-based start-up has facilitated more than 5,000 applicant entries through its platform and is quickly adding new customers.
Personality Pool, a screening tool that lets employers screen applicants based on personality traits vital to the successful execution of a job but not always immediately apparent through resumes or generic intake forms, has officially launched out of Beta.
Developed with the unique needs of retail, hospitality, entry-level sales, and call center roles in mind, Personality Pool has facilitated more than 5,000 applicant entries through its platform and is quickly adding new customers. One of the participants in its pilot efforts was Pierce LaMacchia, Owner of K Brew, the Knoxville-headquartered coffee and bagel chain. The video-based platform guides applicants through a series of insightful questions, using artificial intelligence technology to analyze their responses. Employers receive an insightful personality score and detailed assessment of each candidate’s core characteristics to determine cultural fit. This approach helps to reduce hiring bias and create more opportunities for potential hires who may not tick all the standard resume boxes.
The company, co-founded by Lauren Glass-Mullins, received the initial investment from “InvestTN,” the federally-funded program managed by Launch Tennessee. Personality Pool now offers packages starting at $179.
