One-fourth of start-ups in just concluded Techstars accelerator commit to a Baltimore location
The community can make a difference in start-ups that come for just a few months!
That’s the important message for the Knoxville-Oak Ridge region after three of the 12 start-ups in the first “Techstars Equitech Accelerator” cohort used their recent “Demo Day” to announce that they are relocating to Baltimore. As described in this recent article from Technical.ly, two of the three are international – one from Dublin and the other is from Berlin.
We should note that week three of the 13-week “Techstars Industries of the Future Accelerator” is underway in Downtown Knoxville, funded by Oak Ridge National Laboratory, Tennessee Valley Authority, and the University of Tennessee System.
