North American epicenter for VW EV work coming to Chattanooga
Speaking of Chattanooga and its “Smart Community Collaborative,” Volkswagen made a huge announcement yesterday at the “2019 North American International Auto Show” in Detroit. It was something that had been rumored for months, but it’s now official. Volkswagen will invest $800 million to again expand its Chattanooga operation and create 1,000 new jobs as the company bases its electric vehicle production in North America in the city.
